At Home by the Sea, we take pride in offering the highest quality, individualised childcare, fostering a sense of community and belonging for both children and parents.
We have created a nurturing and exciting atmosphere featuring a warm, comforting colour scheme, natural wooden furniture, spacious, airy rooms, and a beautiful 100-foot private garden. This thoughtfully designed environment promotes children’s development and learning, ensuring they have ample space and resources to thrive.
In our nursery, your child will enjoy free movement between rooms to encourage independence and foster their natural curiosity. This freedom allows them to follow their own interests, leading to better engagement and a deeper love of learning.
Our garden is an extension of this nurturing space, complete with a lawn, wood chip areas, decking, a scientific exploration zone, fruit trees, a children’s allotment, and a hideaway. Here, your child can explore, learn, and play freely, making every day an adventure.
We are an inclusive environment supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities and children who speak English as an Additional Language.

Toddler Room (9 months – 30 months)
Your child will have access to two dedicated toddler rooms, which they can move freely between to choose their own activities and resources.
We provide a stimulating environment for children that encourages exploration. Everything we do with your child is based around learning through play, so they have lots of fun while they develop and grow.
We understand that maintaining a daily sleep routine is crucial for children of this age, so it is an integral part of our “home from home” experience.
To ensure your child gets the undisturbed rest they need, we provide a separate sleep room equipped with blackout blinds, soothing music, and monitors.
Pre-school Room (2.5 years – 5 years)
Pre-schoolers have access to five spacious rooms where they can investigate a range of diverse learning opportunities, which are aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to promote all round development.
With a 1:8 staff-to-child ratio, we balance child-initiated learning and guided activities. While our mixed-age group (two to five years) fosters a family-like atmosphere, encouraging positive role modeling and social interaction.
Every day, children engage in age-appropriate small group activities and mixed-age interactions.
We emphasise independence, resilience, and self-regulation while building foundational skills in mathematics and literacy, ensuring older preschoolers are well-prepared for the next educational stage.

Nursery Manager: Zoja Marinovic Andrasek
Zoja joined Home by the Sea in 2014 as an Early Years Practitioner and worked her way up to Nursery Manager – a role she fulfils with great pride. She views the nursery as her second home and is dedicated to nurturing and supporting children to enable them to thrive.
Prior to joining Home by the Sea, Zoja put her sociology degree to good use and worked as a Youth Director for various cruise lines around the world, which ignited her passion for working with children, leading her to focus on early childhood education.
